The movement of symbolism started in 19th century. It was the exploration of literature and poetry that took place in Belgium from about 1880 onwards was the essential to the formation of the symbolist art. They admired the writings of Swedenborg (1688–1772), Hegel (1770–1831), Mallarme (1842–1898) and Wagner (1813–1883). The writings were concerned with theology, nature and its relationship with human; with symbols, metaphors and ideas. Poets aimed to break free from the standard form of composing to free verse.... (Simbolizmo analizė, iš kur atsirado ši dailes kryptis ir kuo išsiskiria iš kitu krypčiu. trijų dailininku darbu aprašymai ir diskusija. Jie yra: Gustave Moreau, Odilon Redon ir Paul Gauguin.
