Lithuania pedagogues publicly announced their desire to develop a distinctive national education system. Primary and basic education in the Republic of Lithuania is compulsory. The general aim of primary school is to prepare for the development of an educated, independent and active personality. The school week includes five days.So lessons are from Monday to Friday. The classes usually start at eight o'clock in the morning and are over at two or thee o'clock in the afternoon. Some schools still have lessons in two shifts.....(APIMTIS 435 ZD)
