To get to the origin of Easter, we have to go back further than the remembrance of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. You may have wondered why Easter falls on such a wide range of dates every year. You may not know that Easter always falls upon the first Sunday after the first full moon on or after the spring equinox. That means that it can be as early as March 22 or as late as April 25.
