Here are some words about London?s past. In 55 B.C the Romans under Julius Ceasar came to the British Isles and found there on a bank of the river Thames a village named Llyn–din. The people who lived on the island were called Britons. the Britons fought against the Romans and drove them away. But about a century later the Romans returned and occupied Britain. (APIMTIS 2PSL)
