The topic of my speech is Government and politics. Firstly I would like to talk about the government. Lithuania is a republic, it means that Lithuania has a president and is governed by elected representatives. It gained independence in 1991. The president of Lithuania is Rolandas Paksas and he has the executive power. The president holds his office for a term of five years. Paksas is in the vortex of scandals. The main topic in radio, Tv and I newspapers is topic about president. Government people want president to resign, but president flatly assert that he`s not guilty. Now there two sides of Lithuania people, one believes in president and other thinks president must to resign.
