The Lithuanian language is avery old Baltic language. There are 3,5–4mln people who speak lithuanian. Some of them are in Ireland, some of them – in the US and other countries. Lithuanian is also very related to latvian. (For example, horse in Latvian is `zirgas` and in Lithuanian it‘s `žirgas`. So not a big difference). Since 1991, the official language of Lithuania has been the baltic language, Llithuanian, a language closely related to Latvian. Lithuanians make up about 80 per cent of the population of Lithuania.
